| Synopsis : | Born in 1939 in Kedah, Cheah Yew Saik received his formal art education at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Art, Singapore and continued his studies at Stoke-on-Trent College of Art, England in 1968. After returning to Malaysia in 1968, he founded the Kuala Lumpur College of Art and became the principal until his retirement. This exhibition marks Cheah's fifth solo exhibition of works in oils and watercolours, which sees him searching for the harmonious coexistence between man and nature from a broader perspective. Nature’s majestic charm and beauty truly comes alive on his canvas. |
