| Synopsis : | Over 40 artists from the Malaysian Watercolour Society (MWS) are set to showcase their latest works, ranging from portraiture, scenic landscapes and images depicting everyday life, market scenes and fishing villages, flora and fauna as well as some stylized abstract works. The MWS members are some of the most accomplished watercolourists in the country, with illustrious members who have long dedicated their art to champion the medium. Works by established and up-coming artists will hang next to each other, showing the differences in styles, of colour palettes and textures and interpretations of their favoured subjects matter, all adding to the richness of this talented group. In creating greater awareness and a love for the medium, the society has actively and passionately been promoting an appreciation of this medium through means of publications, field trips, painting excursions and exhibitions. |
