| Synopsis : | A guardian of abstract art in Malaysia, Cheong Laitong returns with his 12th solo series, continuing to express his thoughts and emotions on canvas, in an abandonment of colours and gestural calligraphic lines. Twenty six new works continue in the spirit that is Laitong. With an inimitable painterly style of gestural markings, drips and splashes, Laitong creates a distinctive pictorial equilibrium. Expressive, dynamic and beautiful would best describe the new paintings. |
