| Synopsis : | Ad Lib is a series of 13 contemporary paintings in oil on canvas that explore the moods, emotions and moments in time of Malaysian women in this early new millennium. Sticking to women as her subject, “Ad Lib” marks artist Janiz Chan’s move away from the smooth and detailed paintings that emphasize pictorial perfection towards a more soulful expression with liberated brushstrokes and improvised colours. |
