Synopsis : Nationality, race, sexuality, the Merlion, Singlish - just some of the topics tackled through the theatrical performance Second Link, the Singapore-Malaysia Text Exchange.

Featuring more than 50 texts taken from an eclectic selection of drama, poetry, novels and interviews, the performance is a walk through the history of Singapore and Malaysia and an observation of life in the two inseparable countries.

You're assured some laughs and poignant moments as the Singaporeans and Malaysians re-interpret each other's stories, icons and idiosyncracies, even as they playfully invite you to make up your own tale of the two countries.

Back in KL after 2 years, the production was first performed as 'Riding The Nice Bus' at ZOUK KL and directed by the late Krishen Jit for the Kuala Lumpur Literary Festival 2006. The show has since then been presented alongside 'Tikam-Tikam: Malaysian Roulette', directed by Singapore's Ivan Heng and has made pit stops at the Hong Kong City Festival 2006 and the Singapore Theatre Festival 2006.

Directed by Ivan Heng and Krishen Jit, curated by Eleanor Wong, Alvin Pang and Leow Puay Tin and featuring the acting talents of Anne James, Edwin Sumun, Fahmi Fadzil, Gani Abdul Karim, Jonathan Lim, Karen Tan, Lim Yu Beng, Neo Swee Lin, Reza Zainal Abidin & Sukania Venugopal.

Presented by W!LD RICE in collaboration with Five Arts Centre and The Actors Studio.
