BOH Cameronian Arts Awards

"Art is so wonderfully irrational, exuberantly pointless, but necessary all the same. Pointless and yet necessary, that's hard for a puritan to understand."

Synopsis : Japanese comedy sensation Gamarjobat returns to Kuala Lumpur, in a brand-new show where East meets... West-ern.

The multi-award-winning duo of Ketch and Hiropon present their own take on spaghetti Westerns, in a brilliantly unique and hilarious tale of love and revenge in the Wild West.

Delight you they will, as they open the show with their signature fast-paced comedy, together with an all-new audience interaction beat box!

Ketch! and Hiro-pon have turned silent comedy into an art form that completely transcends all cultural and language boundaries.

Their work is an ingeniously packaged mixture of clever, free-flowing mime and gentle acrobatics all wrapped up in a generous helping of wonderfully tongue-in-cheek humour.

I went to watch them three times when they were here last ... and this time I will probably end up going to watch them another three times (have already been once).

I'm not going to rant and rave about the show. Just GO watch the show. The two men who make up Gamarjobat are just outstanding performers. Impecable timing. Outlandish spontaneity. And funny as ... well, an incredibly funny thing.

Nuff said. I am a life ling fan.
