| Synopsis : | This new genre of original music is created by award-winning composer and producer, Andrew Lum, and features the finest ethnic artistes and musicians from all over Asia. The constant strive to break new grounds puts New Asia in the forefront of Asian music. The key to unlocking this refreshing seamless blend of East meets West, lies in Andrew Lum's ability to strike a delicate balance between the commercially successful elements of Western music, while retaining the character and exotic nuances of traditional Asian instruments and music. The group has performed in international music festivals such as WOMAD, MIDEM in France and Volvo World Music Festival in Malaysia, and has toured in Stockholm, Paris, Cannes, Lyon, Kuala Lumpur and Chicago. With Andrew Lum on guitar, Jessica Lu on Sanxian, and Joe Jayaveeran on Tabla and ethnic percussions. *Do note, this replaces the originally scheduled performance by Sufiah Noor. |
