| Synopsis : | Seven short pieces - drama and monologues - are presented here by Sanggar Teater Fauziah Nawi (STEFANI), with Fauziah herself leading a group of child, teenage and youth performers. Featuring: Pukul A monologue by a woman who was sent to jail for the murder of her husband. Hutanglah A monologue that talks about debts as being the norm for most people nowadays. The story tells of the problems that arise for both the debtor and creditor. Singa by Bahazain A short play about a lion king who wants to retire from his throne, so he summons all the other animals in the jungle to be interviewed as a candidate for the role. The animals send each of their best candidates for the interview. Nangislah Anak A monologue of a young divorcee with two sick children, during the Emergency. Tukang Sapu A monologue of a cleaner who dreams of becoming a super-star. Ayam Sabung A monologue of a hero who, after becoming paralyzed, is despised by his community - despite his numeorus previous contributions. Maafkan Aku A story of a child’s regret and guilt for not leading an honourable life. ~ Directed by Fauziah Nawi, with original music by Iryanda Mulia. |

| I just came back from watching this play, my favorites were singa, pukul jangan tak pukul and hutang. Strong social messages were conveyed through the equally well delivered monologues. I also had the privilege of meeting the producer Mr. Mokhtar, who shared a few valuable insights into the theatre industry. kudos to everyone involved in this play and looking forward to watch more STEFANI productions in the future!

| Commendable effort by STEFANI, especially Ms 'Pukul', whose real name I did not catch during the credit roll. Somehow I felt some of the hidden messages were lost on the audience-who were mostly laughing. All in all, CONGRATS to STEFANI! :-)
