Synopsis : Do our ordinary lives make a difference? Will we look back with regret and feel that we contributed nothing significant in our lifetime? Or will we rejoice with all the accomplishments that we have made throughout?

This is a story, beginning at the end, where all these questions are put forward. The people we've met, the things that we've done and how much of it is accounted for at the end of the day.

Told entirely through body language, this story shows us that there is still one last chance to correct the wrongs in our lives and to forgive and forget.

In the end, what we say doesn't really matter. It's how we mean it. And how we show it. Language is of no more importance, but instead, it's the sincerity of our hearts that come into play.

A physical theatre piece set to original live music.

Inspired by Mitch Albom's "Five People You Meet In Heaven", Three is directed by Helena Foo and features Lorna Hoong, Wong Wai Hoong, Nicole-Ann Thomas, Payal Vashist and Soni Deol.

*Recommended for mature audiences

Nicole Ann Thomas was excellent in THREE. Hand gestures were terrific. And I am one who usually dont like mime.

I think the whole cast did a great performance and the music is moving! The whold play is powerful and because it is physical with music without dialog, it give me the freedom to intepret the story on my own. I enjoyed very much.

thank you for an emotionally packed performance, last night... i would like to congratulate the team involved on the well received production!

like any shows, good or bad... there will always be flaws. it's just a matter of how much and how noticeable. the director did a wonderful job casting a strong supporting group of performers. it is unfortunate that their energy, prowess and passion; overshadowed the lead every time they share the stage. my question is - was she cast on purpose to showcase her 'rawness' in comparison to the rest? if so, she most definitely delivered.

i personally believe that two performers in particular deserved special mention - wong wai hoong and soni deoi. wai hoong has come a long way since i last saw him in Urmi. (regrettably, this is the first time i've laid eyes on soni). both their interpretations, confidence and honesty on stage was touching. it is always a pleasure to watch and feel, when a performer surrenders themselves to a role they have committed to. not only did their body danced, the 'heart' did too; moving every little spins, rolls, flicks, spasms... it is exciting to find rare gems in smaller productions! i found it hard to tear myself away from watching the two; especially wai hoong in the opening scene - his presence was very powerful. and soni, as she did the Odissi so effortlessly and with such fluidity. it is hard to believe that someone so young understood the dance and it’s need to interpret the ‘poetic’ line to evoke a single mood.

nicole is one performer whom i have always enjoyed watching but, i do feel that she has not been pushed to her extreme here. her delivery was convincing and precise; there was energy in her presentation. unlike lorna, who was jarringly weak as she tries to mimic movements in the mime. payal’s execution to her character was a little ‘put on’ and I found that she was too concern with her blocking and timing, when she ought to be focusing more on her inner voice and feelings. though her pacing was not bad, but it became obviously mechanical.

the live music – superb! it certainly contributed positively to the piece and helped bring out a different dimension of the performance. the composition was well thought out; though not very complex in chord progressions but most importantly, it worked. well done guys! (not forgetting, nicole and the director’s vocal contribution in the last piece, of course!)

my only dissatisfaction from the entire night, was the director’s carelessness in casting the lead or her lack of thought in nurturing a more mature and technically strong main character. this became the weakest link in an otherwise, promising production.

...again, congratulations on the production!

I recommend anyone to go see THREE whether you believe in heaven or not. Just like the book "The 5 people you meet in heaven", this play touch my heart as much as the book. Furthermore, the music fit so well with the movement. It brought tears to my eyes on certain scene. It made a great impact on me and prompt me to examine my own life empathetically. To the Director, the Cast, the Movement Cheorograher, The Music Director & his Band - Two Thumbs Up!!

I like how the play started. The story is simple but insightful. The music gets me emotionally involved. The show is short but just nice for a physical piece for if it drags too long, it will become boring. RM25.00 to get to see a production like THREE? For those who have not seen it, don't miss it. My Congratulations to all who has a part in THREE... you guys did a great job!

No way to offer an unbiased opinion here as I am Nick's father. However, I have forever had a love for stage arts and have been fortunate enough to see all kinds of performances in great venues like Broadway in New York, The opera houses of Munch, Berlin, Chicago, L.A., I've seen George C. Scott play Chekov's "Uncle Vanya", and even discovered on my own the now legendary off-broadway show "The Fantasticks" back in the late 60s before it had realized tremendous and lauded success.

What the marvelous cast, insightful director, and my son did with "Three" was as worthy a bit of avantgarde theatre as I have seen. Quite frankly I was stunned and encouraged. K.L. is not exactly a cultural The music that Nick wrote and performed was incredibly mature and well thought out. His use of a muliple genre score was exciting. get ready world. "Here come's the son" (with apologies to the estate of George Harrison).

I like Lorna Hoong's performance. I think she is able to convey feelings of fear, loneliness and pain in her facial expression. I especially love the music. It was great.

had a great night - thanks to the performers, musicians and all involved! kudos to all for a daring and enjoyable piece of work.

especially loved - the angel, the mother and the lover! music was so aptly intertwined... touching indeed.

could do with a more emotionally and technically mature lead though. surprising how the show got away with casting a new and inexperience performer for main character.

set was simple yet effective. the lighting certainly did it's magic to enhance the space. the dry ice was rather cliche but it did its job!

ps - love the tattoo on the angel!
