| Synopsis : | The whole idea of MASKARA was to just gather all writers, artists and arts enthusiasts together under one roof. Mainly also, it's meant to be a neutral platform for all writers - liberal, non-liberal, egotistical, humble, idealists who only talk a lot and the real idealists - regardless of race, colour, religion and creed, to get together, throw their differences to the wind, and just, get along really. It's 'ladies night" this time round, with readings and performances by an all-women line-up: 1. Bernice Chauly (writer, actress, lecturer, photographer) 2. Ras Adiba Radzi (performer, writer, arts enthusiast and former newsreader) 3. Ummu Hani Abu Hassan (creative writer and part-time journalist) 4. Farahana Hussain (writer from Minggu Penulis Remaja, 2002) 5. Salina (writer from Pink Platun) 6. Nida (writer from Pink Platun) 7. Cik Daun (writer from Pink Platun) 8. Salina Ibrahim (novelist) There will also be poetry readings through sign language by Nur Safiah Abd Raub, Nor Diyana Hassan and Mawk. Host for the night is AzieAzah (DJ Sahabat KLfm), and you're promised free food and drinks, and selected books and DVDs too! Other books will be on sale too.
