| Synopsis : | Back for a seventh installment, this session will feature: 'Zebra Cross' by Nurina Malinda 9 mins 46 secs/color/2007 About a girl who late for her class and encounter problem with a "zebra". 'Moving On' by Michael Chen 13mins/color/2006 Davina finds herself feeling sadder than she's ever been. The viewer then sees Davina begin a journey. Her best friend tries to talk her out of it. She takes the LRT, gets hassled by thugs and hitches a ride from a mysterious stranger. 'Ajin's Five Chairs' by Rozinor Razali aka Ajin 7.04 minutes, b/w, 2008 Five mobsters are caught in a web of deceit when one of their associates is reported dead. After thorough a investigation, the suspects are narrowed down to one of them. Led by the Boss, they agree to meet in an isolated place and begin interrogating each other. 'Tumpang 1' by Ahmad Bistarie Ali [bird] 5mins43secs/color/2007 A story about a man has a really bad day. He's stressed with work, gets robbed and his tire gets punctured. And things just get worse from there. 'The Reader' by Nadira Ilana 8 mins2 seconds/Black & White/2008 The Reader is an adaptaion of the novel by Bernard Schlink. In the film , Michael details his first experience of first love,sex and abandonment with an older and illiterate woman named Hanna. 'Korban Awam Rumah Saya' by Saiful Razman 3 mins/color/2005 "On the evils of man. On sacrifice. On blurring the lines between man and beast. On sins and grace. On evil people that should be fought." 'Cure to Catastrophe' by Nadiah Hamzah 6:27 mins/2008 Liz's work is constantly inspired by the intricate details of the human anatomy. As her latest pièce de résistance slowly begins to take its final form, her relationship with Jeremy starts to crumble and fall apart. On the night that Jeremy decides to completely cut ties, a twist of events occur to the turn the tables around - ending in a tragic, but bittersweet aftermath for a woman scorned. 'Binky' music video by Adam Kitingan 3mins6secs/color/2007 Music video for the band Lied. The music video is about drugs and intoxication. 'Harga Cinta' by Mien.ly 11 mins/color/ 2008 Aini lives with her mum in a poor urban village in the city. Her mum works in a factory that packages mineral water bottles. In this place and time, water has been privatized and costs too much for them, so her mother takes the water from the well, in hope of having some savings for Aini to buy a computer. One day, her mother falls ill and Aini rushes off to buy her clean water. She realizes she doesn't have enough money to buy the water.. and then, Joshua appears. 'Astral Projection' by Crystal Woo 4 mins/ color /2008 An accidental astral projection. 'Wolf' by Anrie Too 7mins 12 secs/color/2008 "Water changes... as change is constant. " A girl reminisces and reevaluates her relationship. Has she changed; like water often does? From water to ice to vapour and yet it is water... maybe because change is the only constant. 'The Value of My Sanity' - trailer by Idzwan Junaidi 1 min/2008 "'The Value of My Sanity' is one man's unfortunate fall from grace; a tumultuous unasked journey into the comforting and inviting abyss of insanity. It is an amusing and lighthearted glimpse into the trials and tribulations of modern life, and a reminder of how easy one may fall into the cracks." ~ Total Running Time: 80 minutes (discussion with filmmakers after).
