| Synopsis : | The Urbanscapes festival returns, working again with the aim to bring together all the different artistic scenes around the city, under a single banner. This year's edition will feature a collection of live acts, visual and performance art, installations, film/video screenings, theatre performances and a marketplace. Urbanscapes 2008 is also going “user-generated,” in the sense that the organisers are working together with "users" such as the general public, partners, collectives and individuals - each of them expressing themselves uniquely and contributing to the festival as a whole. The public can participate by logging on to the festival website at www.urbanscapes.com.my to cast their votes for acts that they would like to see in special "Voters' Choice" slots. There will be seven main festival areas, four of which are live performance stages, namely the XPax Lawn Stage, the XPax Box, the Acoustic Livehouse and The Lakeside. The other three main areas are the Cinetheatre, Gallery and Marketplace.
