Synopsis : This Dinner Show features three One-Act Plays, all concerning in one way or another, that hairy topic of husbands. Presenting:

The Golf War Widows

Playwright Damian Trasler captures hilarious and poignant moments shared by three wives killing time when their husbands are busy with a corporate golf tournament.

Theresa is a wife who has built her own business in response to her husband's obsession with work and her own fading looks.

Dotty has brought up a family despite the disinterest of her husband and Rachel... well she’s a crime-fighter. Golfers beware!

Overtones

In Alice Gerstenberg’s Overtones, Harriet and Margaret present a cultured and refined image to the outside world, while Hetty and Maggie represent the wild, primitive desires of these same women.

The play embodies a disparate part of the characters’ personality and is a unique convention celebrating womanhood.

With Gerstenberg’s humorous and witty writing, this influential work is still making audiences laugh across the globe today, showing that what you say and what you mean can sometimes be two different things!

A Matter of Husbands

When an earnest young wife suspects that her husband is having an affair with a famous and glamorous actress, she decides to take matters into her own hands and confronts her with the evidence.

However, the actress seems surprised and convinces her that it is nothing but an illusion. But that's what actresses do, isn’t it? Written by Ferenc Molnar.

Presented by the Penang Players, the three plays features performances by Lucille Dass, Mary Schneider, Fadzrina Bt Zainul Ariffin, Meenalosany Arivananthan and more.
