Synopsis : Back again in Malaysia by popular demand are The Outer Rim, a fusion-jazz band of four outstandingly talented musicians from Japan.

The Band consists of Norihiko Hibino on Saxophone, Hakuei Kim on Piano, Jeff Curry on Bass Guitar  and Nobuaki Fujii on Drums. Together, the boys mesh Jazz, Funk, Rock, and Free music to create a sound that is instantly recognisable yet hard to define.

Everyone in the Band plays more than one instrument and uses a variety of effects to create “soundscapes.” Fans of the Band have often said that they “trip” while listening to the music, thus the name “The Outer Rim”.

They'll be joined by local celebrity, Mia Palencia, who will be making a special guest appearance at the concert.

Organised by Life College, the concert is to raise funds for its Gift of Hope Scholarship Fund. A College birthed out of a vision to create positive impact on society, the funds from the concert will enable many who sincerely want to further their tertiary education but are unable to do so due to economic or other constraints which have impinged on their past academic performance.
