| Synopsis : | A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Michael Veerapen is hailed as one of the finest jazz pianists in Malaysia and around the region. A strong advocate and supporter of jazz in Malaysia, he, together with pal Lewis Pragasam, organised Malaysia's first jazz rock concert back in 1978, which helped give the genre a lasting place in the Malaysian music scene. He has worked with the best names in the industry as a performer, Musical Director, Composer, Music Producer and Arranger. This weekend, Michael embarks with his trio on an evening of jazz standards with the charismatic Gina Panizales on vocals. Also featuring Wan on Bass and Charles Wong on Drums. |
