Synopsis : The 1st KL Alternative Bookfest (KLAB) is basically a gathering of small, independent publishers to get together to sell, launch and discuss books.

Among the events being planned are book launches and a book giveaway - where you can drop off books you no longer want.

Participating booksellers are Gerakbudaya, SIRD, Tokobuku, Silverfish, Matahari, Zi, Kinibooks, Monsoon, Suarasuara, Holograms, Sindiket Soljah, Sisters in Islam and Project OMG.

UPDATE!
The launch of the Kakiscript book, 10 x 10: 100 Minutes to Change the World (a compilation of the 10 winning plays of the Kakiscript Playwriting Competition), will also take place at the KLAB on Sunday, 3 May 2008, at 2pm. For more information about the Kakiscript book launch, click here!
