| Synopsis : | "Songs For A Shadow" is electro-folk poet Jerome Kugan's debut album, featuring 11 original tracks produced by Hardesh Singh and Ariff Akhir. It is a fully independent release. Musically, the album is an inspired marriage of Jerome's two favourite music genres: folk and electro. With Jerome on vocals and guitar, the songs feature electronic beats and melodic embellishments that have resulted in an eclectic set of austere, haunting and majestic songs that deserve to be heard across genre-specific limitations. With arrangements courtesy of Hardesh and Ariff, the album is forward-thinking folk with striations of technology. Besides the launch of this album, the night will feature a set by Jerome accompanied by Aziz; music performances by Azmyl Yunor, Tan Sei Hon, Ferns and Bulimia; poetry readings by Bernice Chauly and Priya K; DJ set by Sarchan and Danny Lim and some suprise guests popping up too. "Songs For A Shadow" will be available for sale at the launch for RM25 per CD and RM18 per digital download. There will also be other indie CDs, books, zines and DVDs for sale. |
