| Synopsis : | Finks, one of the Leni-Basso Dance Company's most important works, is a stylish multimedia spectacle for the senses: set in simple space where four small cameras are installed in four corners, and against the background of two huge screens, Finks has toured extensively since 2001 to USA, Denmark, Chile, Belgium, The Netherlands, Poland and China.
This work was created by Akiko Kitamura, artistic director and choreographer of Leni-Basso. She created this work while exploring the possibilities of communication in dance and came out with the theme "making communication by discommunication". The actions of the dancers are intense and forcible, reminding us of the strain characteristic of martial arts. Previous dance performances brought in by Japan Foundation KL that have incorporated seamless, cutting edge multimedia technology had consistently wowed local audience and artists alike. Presented by Japan Foundation KL and Actors Studio. |
