1 Malaysia or Izzit?

Half Malay. Half Eurasian. One Chinese. One Indian. No, not Malaysia’s next opposition party (God forgive if they were!) but 3 of Malaysia’s foremost comedians. Each coming on stage as would be politicians giving their inaugural speech on what it takes to bring “Malaysia Boleh” to newer heights as well as the unmentionables aka individualism or dare we say race, politics and “Stand Up For Malaysia”. Bold and downright cheeky. 3 barrels of belly up laughter daring to poke at themselves and what it is to be Malaysian!

Starring Rizal van Geyzel who sounds American, has a Dutch name but a Malaysian heart. Once billed the 'Future of Malaysian Stand-up Comedy' by none other than Harith Iskander, he is deemed the most naturally talented comic by both belly-aching comedy fans and envious fellow comedians who want nothing more than stab him in his sleep.... just to put you into perspective on what to expect or unexpect! Enter Jason Leong, the Chinese who surprisingly works for the Ministry of Health by day (God help his patients!) and has taken upon himself to continue to prescribe the best medicine well into the night. He has headlined numerous comedy shows and being the newest member of the Malaysian Association of Chinese Comedians (MACC) featuring Douglas Lim. He is the creator, host and resident emcee of KL's latest monthly comedy show, Comedy Kao Kao. Last but not least, Kavin Jay, voted the grumpiest macha in Malaysia for his love hate relationship with his life, his other half and his country. A veteran of the Malaysia's laugh scene, he is an integral part of the comedy revolution in Malaysia and a regular host and performer for TimeOut KL Comedy. He is also one of the founding members of ‘Young Comedians of Malaysia”.
