Description

The Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex and the Bukit Kiara Sports Complex have been managed by Perbadanan Stadium Merdeka (PSM) since 1st July 1998. These two complexes comprised seven venues and three recreational parks and were used extensively for the XVI Commonwealth Games.

The role of PSM is:

  • To administer and manage the Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex and the Bukit Kiara Sports Complex
  • To give advice and guide event organizers
  • To promote and diversify events
  • To provide complete facilities and equipment to organizers, users and spectators
  • To rent out Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex and the Bukit Kiara Sports Complex with completed facilities and equipment.
  • The objectives of PSM are as follows:

  • To provide sport facilities and sophisticated recreational spots
  • To diversify the use of a stadium
  • To increase annual income
  • The Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex and the Bukit Kiara Sports Complex are PSM's ways to achieve these objectives and to make Malaysia the center for organizing sports and non-sports activities, entertainment, recreational and both commercial and non-commercial events.

    Location
Barely an hours' drive from Kuala Lumpur city center, the Bukit Jalil Sports Complex is relatively the latest sport complex in the country. To date, its biggest contribution to Malaysia was to host the Kuala Lumpur '98 XVI Commonwealth Games in September 1998.

The entire complex is open from 9 am - 5 pm daily. The entrance fee of RM2 (adults) or RM1 (children 12 years and below) includes a guided tour, video presentation, viewing of a photo exhibition and a brochure of the complex.
